OUR STORY

About Us

Generational Millwork

An hour from Toronto and ten minutes from Lake Simcoe, we could not have found a more perfect spot. None of the conveniences of the city were left behind; just the hustle and bustle that comes with it.

Gemini moved to Pefferlaw in December of 2014; however, our story goes back much further than that.

It begins in 1955 when a man named Herman immigrated from Europe to Toronto. He had completed his apprenticeship in cabinet making and was ready to make a living for himself in Canada. After multiple years of working as a cabinet maker, he decided to start his own business focus on retail store fixtures.

Through hard work and long hours, his business became very successful. All three of his sons spent time working with him, but only one would keep the family business alive.

Jeff would go on to run the millwork business in 1988. He moved the business from Scarborough to Stouffville. Through even more hard work and longer hours, the business grew even busier.

Jeff had four children, three boys and one girl. All four children grew up around the millwork shop and were familiar and comfortable with being surrounded by saws, drills, and CNC machinery.

In the summer of 2014, Jeff’s three sons, Vaughan, Vince, and Sam, agreed to take over the business. With a plethora of energy and ambition, they began the process of taking over the business.

Their upbringing in the industry as well as their comfort with computers and technology has helped bring Gemini to new heights. They plan on following in their predecessors footsteps. Work hard, put in the hours, make the business even better than it was before, and, ultimately, make their father and grandfather proud.
